• 2.68 kg CO₂ per liter of diesel burned (tank-to-prop, conservative — well-to-wheel is ~3.2 kg/L).
• Diesel pump price €1.80/L (European average, 2025). Adjust mentally for your locale.
• Duty cycle: average shaft power is 65% of continuous target — owners spend more time at cruise than at peak.
• Maintenance baseline €220/yr: oil, filters, impeller, belts, winterization for a typical 20–40 hp auxiliary.
• Equivalences: 120 g CO₂/km car, 21 kg CO₂/year per tree, 90 kg CO₂/h economy short-haul flight (per passenger share).
